First Double Bass

    It'll need a new bridge right away, and probably an entire going-over, strings, etc, to boot. It would have been nice to see the neck damage / repair more clearly. Hopefully one of the luthiers will chime in, but to me it looks like it's worth checking out at least.

    Can you get over to the seller and check it out first-hand?
  2. I agree. It is one thing to buy an electric instrument over ebay and another to buy an acustic instrument. See if you can at least get more info if you can't see/play it first hand.

    With the neck break I would try and go check it out. You'll have to see if it was reset right and that is it a strong repair.
  4. Cheers guys, I'm staying away from it. I'd rather spend money on something that I've inspected first.
