Good morning America, Pics : http://www.jpbasses.com/A558A4/jpbasses.NSF/Gallery/1F7048B6618EF9C386256E5E005C62AB?opendocument Sorry for my bad English !!! Six months of waiting, its very long, but for this wonderful instrument, its very short! Its a great pleasure to meet ze boss himself, Mister JP, and to see the small room where my dream comes true. On photos, my Plume was very beautiful but in real, she is fabulous, the woods are incredible : - the body, Limba with dyed through burl maple top, with somes great details, - and the neck, wenge with the fingerboard on acrylicized birds eye maple Theres a real sensuality with this instrument, its not easy to explain, but its like: shes alive!!! The woods are very "hot" to touch, to feel or to smell, it s really a rare impression. The next step is to hear the sound; the preamp is very powerful, much betters then my two others bass (Peavey Cirrus 5st and Alembic Essence 4 st) theres a very large possibility of sound, great bright sound with a low bass and a very clear and punchy high notes. This is overall the best sounding bass I personally have ever played. But let me some weeks to learn all the possibility of the pickups. Now I have it in my house, and what a great pleasure to play with it or to look and feel the amazing woods. Last step, playing in concert with a good volume, it will be for the 16th of April. Hold the line ! Have a nice day
Beautiful bass! I've been waiting to see the finished product. JP is doing some excellent work!! Congrats! Jeff
Luc, thanks a lot for your trust and your friendship. Nice to see you enjoy your new bass. Jeff, I try my best!! thanks for the kind words bro'! Peace, JP
Hmmm Interesting-looking... ... ... and amazing, too!!! though looks a bit too 'chaotic' with all those colours... that makes it definatelly unique. The tuning knobs are of a very nice colour, too. Nice work JP! If this is only your 'part-time' work, I wonder what would be the outcome of doing this full-time...
Hey JP, I like how the headstock is resting on a nice figured piece of burl. I can just hear the phone call -"You want a Jazz, uh, okay. And black too. Well, alright then. .. You know we can make all kinds of basses here. . . Right. . . Black, jazz bass, right then. . . ."
from time to time, I'll assemble a warmoth kit. They are good stuff and if you take care to use good hardware, pickups end electronics they come out VERY nice basses for the buck. Will have the owner post some review and clips if possible when it's done. Peace, JP
i've been dreaming of a JP ever since I laid eyes on one...After my wedding, hopefully... Ever ship a lefty to Canada?
