First pic of my new Hanewinckel Fusion 7-string fretless ...

  1. I just got this pic by e-mail. The bass will ship next Monday.

It has a Mahogany body with a Maple laminate and a nicely figured Walnut top. The fretboard is Pau Ferro. I'll post some more pics when I get the bass and can take some good ones.

    Beautiful bass!

What's the damage on something like that? MSRP, discounted price new, used market, etc.?

  10. Thanks guys!

List price on the basic Pro-series 7-string is $3120. I forgot if I got any options on top of that. I think I got a few upgrades such as 2 to 3 band EQ.

I have advertised Hanewinckel Guitars' site at my sites for several years for free so he has given me a good discount. How much ... I can't say. Sorry.

    Sweeeet!

What neck wood did you get? Let me know how it sounds when you get it. I'm thinking about a fretless 6, with the one determining factor being maximum growl. Pete has suggested a mahogany body, bolt-on, and pau ferro fingerboard so far. I'm trying to decide between a maple/padauk neck or wenge/padauk. Also, I'm thinking of moving the neck pickup back a bit further than usual. I'd probably go with an MM pickup if 6es were easily available (from Bartolini or maybe SD), but two of their soapbars about an inch apart straddling the sweet spot (gee that sounds vaguely dirty :) ) should do pretty well.

    Once again, sweeet! :D congrats.

    Dave,

Talk about eye candy!! That is seriously sweet. You're gonna have a hard time putting that one down at night.

    Peace,

That's a nice bass, Dave. And it even comes with 3 spare strings - pretty nifty.
