I'm 57 years young and although i've always been a bass player at heart, life's ups and downs and many changes I finally played a gig with a real band...although i been playing for churches for the last nine years I finally got the chance to experience a "real band"...(bass, guitar, drums, keyboards, 2 horns and 2 vocalists)...as a young guy i played guitar for a couple of bands but joined the service and thirty years later i finally slowed down enough to invest in my own joy....suprised at how much i learned from that one night...for example things i can get away with at church playing with just a keyboard and drummer, i cant do in a full band setting...such as mismatching my cabs..should have brought my two 8 ohm cabs...just could not get the bottom punch i needed, lesson learned...overall it was a great experience...can't wait to do it again

There are many cool things one can do, accomplish in life. Playing live in front of an audience and getting a real applause is one of them. Very congrats and well done!! Now I will tell you what comes next... buying all kinds of neat things you know you must have to make things even better.
