    G|---9-9----14-17---9--------------------------------------------------------|
    D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
    A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
    E|---8-8----13-13---8--------------------------------------------------------|

and they do have 2 basses playing in the song so of course you cant hit every not they do. and for some of the song they dont play on the G string they only do the riff on the E string. and for the parts where they do some solo stuff it is all in the scale.

    G|----------------------7-9-10------------------------------
    D|----------------7-9-10------------------------------------
    A|----------7-8-10------------------------------------------
    E|------8-10------------------------------------------------

    have fun and be creative!

Actually, "Walk on the Wild Side" is Lou Reed solo, not The Velvet Underground.

You're correct, there are two basses on the track. An upright acoustic and a Fender electric. Both play the same line.

    Thanks for the tab.

There are some some chromatic parts in the jam near the end...

And there is a far bit of little impros throughout, gradually increasing as the song gets going...

    Awesome bass part...
