I just bought a Shure wireless system and I have a couple questions. What is the normal range with a wireless system(I'm assuming it depends on brand and model) and how do you run your effects pedals?

My older shure TD guitarist will go at least 200 ft with no problems.

Usually you have to wire your pedals between the receiver and the amp or in the effects circuit of your amp?

The problem with that is the receiver either has to be on the floor next to your pedals or your pedals have to be on the amp and that makes them hard to switch. It also defeats the benefit/purpose of no cords on the floor if you set the receiver on the floor not to mention how easy it will be to damage it.
