-put a bass intro just as the last chord of the first song ends, songs kicks in after you are done.

The Bass intro-solo theme is a good start.

Sometimes 2 riffs just don't go together.

As you build a portfolio of songs and riffs, something you wrote ages ago may work with a new riff.

So you just keep on coming up with ideas, and the pieces will fall in place.

This does take time, so keep on creating.
