So, I received this bass back in trade recently. I figured I wouldn't let it go again, but I've got a lot of basses at the moment.

I believe this bass was talked about a fair bit in the Fodera Club as it was being built.
And let me tell you, this is THE perceptively LOUDEST Fodera I've EVER owned to date.
Just in passive mode puts many basses I've owned to shame. This is the main reason I hesitate to let this go easily as it truly is special.

Here are some details from my previous thread:
Flamed Redwood Emperor Custom Bolt-On 5 For Sale or Trade.
I reserve the right at any time to change my mind and keep this incredible bass.
For those in the know, Redwood is a very special top wood that adds to the tonal character of the bass more so than other tops (from my experience and the experience of some professional players I have the pleasure of knowing).

Trade Interests - Preference for 5 string bolt-ons, possibly 4's from the following builders:
    1) Alleva Coppolo
    2) All Original Pre-CBS Era Fender Precision or Jazz Bass
    3) Wal - MK2 or MK3
    4) Fodera

Trades to be evaluated on case by case basis with the above brands being my key interests. Send me your bass specs and I'll let you know.

Selling price is $8000 U.S. shipped in Canada or the U.S. with payment via Paypal.

Some comments from Fodera's Newborn page:
    Flame Redwood Emperor 5 Bolt-On

This Emperor 5 Bolt-on features an Alder body and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, giving this instrument a very warm tone with deep, fat lows, smooth mids, and a nuanced, singing high end.

This bass also features a stunning Flamed Redwood top, with wonderfully consistent, tight flame figuring!

You are just evil. I thought you were going to keep this one for me until I saved up enough money from my paper route? :p

This is possibly the best Fodera I have ever played. I am giving my Mango Deluxe the look. I may be in touch. :help:

No problem man. I didn't make this post for that purpose! I like that only a select few know what this bass is all about.

    Maybe. :spit:

    Maybe the new strings....

    Maybe the perfect setup....

I would say it is the best sounding and playing Fodera I have played out of 20+.

Only a few min of playing, but it is a special one for sure.

    That redwood is killer though.

Actually, the strings weren't exactly new.....and the setup is even better now (if that was possible!)
And of the countless Fodera I've played....this one is by far the loudest.

After playing this one I can vouch that it’s a killer bass . If there is still anyone who doesn’t know Chris yet on here..which would be perplexing:)...he is one of the best to deal with on TB. Don’t hesitate.

Are you looking to still trade this bass? If so do you have any interest in a Roscoe Century Custom 6?
