Flanger...Quality, No Frills, Durable

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Jimothy60, Aug 25, 2004.

  1. Does anyone recommend a good old fashioned down to earth flanger (no synth additives)??????????? :help:
  2. I've always liked both the Boss BF-2 Flanger (the purple one) and the MXR Flanger. Most 'modelers' model the MXR for the ideal flange sound.

The BF2 is a great Boss flanger. Better than the newer ones, and even the model before that. I've had mine for 3 years and use it often. It's a great quality item that's very cheap to get.

You should try the TC Electronic Chorus/Flanger - it rocks.

Amen. BF-2 is the best for under $50 by far. Get the BF-2, you don't need the BF-3 to sound great, and it's not worth $100 IMO. If you're willing to drop $100, might as well shell out for the MXR Flanger.
  6. Thanks all! I'll score a BF-2.

The best I've had was a 70s Century Flanger.
    Nice stuff.
