Anybody done this? I've got a *fretted* cirrus that I'm trying to calm down. It's got more wonk than I really need with DR lowriders on it. If I slapped or played a more modern style, it'd rock, but I think I'd like more thump.

I'm thinking of trying some Labellas. Anybody done this? Good, bad, ugly? Around here, you can get any type or brand of string you want... as long as it's Super Slinkys. So, opinions are great.

  2. Might be the ticket. You'll still get quite a bit of zing if you use the wrong kind of flats--Lakland Joe Osborns are just dripping with treble on the D and G, I've found from experience with my FBB.
