Flatwound help!?!

    Has anyone found much difference in the sound of the la bella 760fl E string compared to the 760fx?

    other than the e string I think these are probably the closest thing to how I’d want flats to sound. Tight low end with great fundamental, percussive with good articulation.

    I guess I’m looking for something like this but without the very boosted low end...



    any suggestion are very welcome!

    I've only tried the FX on a shorty and find the tension and sound fantastic.
    Been looking to getting either the FX or FL for a meduim scale bass, so following this thread

    Just realised the set that I've tried are the FS set not the FX, if there's an easy way to edit the original post then someone let me know how!!
