I got inspired by an other post and put a new set of flatwound on my jazz bass today. Now, here's the problem. The set is Rotosound "Jazz Bass"(actually a 5-string set, but I got rid of the B),
45 to 105. The A(85) acts funny. I don't know how to put this, but the open A is sharp! It's not a compensation problem, I had to move the bridge saddle almost 10mm back compared to the E string to get the open A string to play in tune??
