I am exploring flatwound strings because I like their thicker tone and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about which brands work for slap playing too. I currently have Thomastik-Infeld Jazz strings on my bass, but I don't like how thin they are. I want to be able to get that Jamerson thud but also be able to slap. I am especially interested in La Bella's, Dean markley's and Rotosunds. Let me know your experienes, thanks.
