    Thoughts?

I love the feel of the flats on my Epi Viola so much I'm thinking about putting them on my stock Squier CVJ. Anyone done this or have an opinion on it?

    absolutely!!

  3. Since you've already got a tort guard on the CV, flats will make it perfect.

Excellent - thank you! Yeah, I'd like to go this route. :)

  6. Yes. Highly recommended. I too only use flats on all my basses. I have GHS precision flats on my Squier CV Jazz.... a match made in heaven.

Haha, thank you! Yeah, being the extreme newbie I am, even the smallest change is kind of a big deal. Just wondered if it was a good idea before dumping $40+/- to replace some perfectly good rounds that I'm not terribly fond of, and how the sound might be affected.

  10. i have both basses on flats, chromes.

I have a P, Jazz, Peavy T-40 & Epi Viola and they all wear TI Jazz Flats. I'm their biggest fan.

Im one of the goofballs that like to have a different set of strings on my all bass's.

    Squier CV 50's P - GHS Precision's
    Squier CV 60's P - Fender
    Squier VM Jazz - Chromes
Squier VM Jag - TI Jazz
    Epi Thunderbird - Rotosound

I gotta say the Jag is my favorite. TI flats are perfect on it. A close second would be the 50's P. I dig the jag so much I'm contemplating getting rid of the 60's P.
