Flatwounds.......

Discussion in 'Strings [BG]' started by eddievanbassman, Aug 1, 2009.

  1. I need a pack of flats. I don't want to mess up my fretless fretboard with roundwounds. If anybody out there has a spare pack of flats or even a old pair they can hook me up with I'll greatly appreciate it. I really don't have any extra money to throw down right now for a pack so I thought someone on TB might could help me out.

Rounds aren't going to chew up your fingerboard overnight, or even over years. Even if you play hard and often it takes a long time, so I wouldn't worry too much. Of course, you can only get the flatwound sound from flatwounds, so if that is your quest, go for it!

  3. I just prefer flats on a fretless.

  4. I switched from GHS Pressure Wounds to Chromes. You are welcome to 3 sets of the GHS collecting dust if you pay shipping. I would need your UPS or FedEx account. Long scale medium light. 44-58-80-102. Let me know if you are interested.

  5. How much?

  6. Strings Free... If you have a UPS ground account it should be around $10. FedEx is a little more. Setting up an account just takes a CC and doesn't cost anything. Give them a call if you have questions about setting up an account.

  7. I don't have a credit card. Man I wish I could get them strings. Is there anybody local that can help me out.
