Did you know that P-Funk guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight was a part of RHCP for a brief time?
I've read they played 4 shows together. I would die to see a video.
And Geddy's mk2 is next to it. Lady in red. Damn that's such a cool pic of some instant classics!
Agreed. It was fortuitous that the picture was taken at that time, and I'm glad I still had the magazine.
On another note, Geddy was certainly the reason why we sold so many Wal basses.
I bet! Some of my favorite songs they did was when he was playing Wal. I still base my sound off of that tone.
That red Wal looks like a Fretless. I’m by no means a Geddy Lee historian, but I don’t recall him having a fretless....
Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
The guy is merely joking around about the "Geddy bass" simply because its red.
But you are correct, that one is fretless.
Didn’t seem like a joke, even the response to it...
I guess I don’t have a true sense of humor...
I was looking more at the red body than the neck. But it's definitely got that look. I immediately think of the roll the bones geddy lee thing if I see a red mk2. But yes it's fretless and definitely not ged's old bass. Lol
Here you can hear the Spector NS tone without other instruments in the background.
