Hey everybody... I've really have enjoyed the forums here. I've also been pretty active lately as well. I've checked out a lot of the "Show Your_______" threads and it's great. The participation is incredible. However, I find myself looking for metal flake finished basses as I'm a big fan of it all and there are some, but not enough to satisfy me! heh. Never enough actually. I really like the over the top stuff. If this has been done before, then somebody shoot me a link. So..let see what you ya' got.
Now that's what I'm talkin' about! What a sweetie. That a factory job or the hot rod guy up the road? heh.
It's factory. It's the Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang. My wife wanted a short scale to try learning, so I got her that. My kids sometimes use it too.
oh boy. I've gotta submit mine! My first "home-made" attempt at a semi-hollow bass. You can't see the metal flake shine too clearly, but it looks just like Folmeisters' above! (btw, first post, please excuse any noobiness with picture posting)
I'm seriously considering having him build me a G8R 12er, I have 2 (Dean and Galveston), but just can't get them playable enough. Hadn't started to think about finishes, maybe a deep teal metalflake would do the trick.
Wow, now that is F'in gorgeous! shoot, examples like this really make me want to make or buy a thunderbird or thunder-bird inspired bass. good stuff! nice subaru too, lol.
Subaru's love Thunderbirds. The Jackson is super rare, dumb luck for me to get it. It has some cousins, the Blue Subie has a sister.
Posted these in the show off your bass thread a day or so ago, but I'll put 'em here as well. I've always dug the look of that Mikey Way bass earlier on in the thread. Bigger flakes, but it still looks fantastic.
