Flying V Bass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by grahambo420, Dec 21, 2002.

  1. I recently found a Flying V style 4 string with P-Style pickups. I know it's not a Gibson or Epiphone, because they're never used P pickups in thier Flying V's. It's somwhere between 40 and 15 years old. The orignal neck seems to have been replaced. The electronics have been changed as well. And so there is no real way for me to trace back. If anyone has any info on what I've got let me know, it would be most appreciated.

My guess would be one of the several Japanese companies involved in making copies of better known instruments; such as Ibanez, Aria, Univox (though Ibanez usually stayed pretty close to the original designs they were copying).
