Flying V

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by relman, Mar 10, 2001.

  1. Anyone play/played an Epiphone Flying V Bass? Good? Bad? What kind of tone????

  2. It's all for show.....They don't have a great tone in my opinion......But if you like it, go for it.....

I tried one once and cant say i was impressed. After fooling with the controls i did find a setting that was decent but thats about it.The workmanship, etc was pretty poor as well.I have their Casady bass which is outstanding but the FV doesnt compare in any way with it.Elecs, hardware, fit, finnish all way below my JCS.Maybe the one i tried was a lemon but id never buy one mail order thats for sure.Good luck!

  7. I once briefly tried out both an Epiphone Explorer and Flying V. The necks hurt my hands.
