I was going through posts looking for a idea on flight requirements and strangely can't seem to find anything. Anyways does anyone know what the guidelines are for this? Is it possible (as it was years ago) to take your bass as carry-on? If so what kind of case do they allow? I've seen friends' instruments come back destroyed by using flight cases that were checked. There's gotta be a better way.

Are we all sure that we want to be on the double bass side of the board?

Man, that'd be really helpful if my bass was a 1/16th size.
