We all say we want it. We wax eloquently about its benefits and how it positively affects our lives.

We may have diversity in someplaces, but not on Radio.

Pop music used to be regional. That unique cultural trademark is erased from the airwaves as well. You could tell a NY band from an LA sound, to R&B, and Blues bands from Chicago to the Mississippi Delta. Anything that's POP, is culturally cleansed.

We know why this has happened, but this stuff keeps getting shoved at us. Whether anyone is buying it is another thing.

That's a great point about "regional" sounds.

The drummer in my band recently subscribed to XM, and he loves it. It's all he talks about lately, and he's been hearing tons of music that's new to him.
