Anyone else think the 4-string AJ Presentation looks like a bit like a Wishnevsky? :D

Most of those are really unappealing to me. I hope they sound good.

That AJ model makes for an ugly 4.

This confirms a long-held belief of mine: Foderas are ugly. I've never played one, so I won't comment on sound or playability, but for that kind of money, they could stand to hire somebody with an art background. Yeesh.

I think they make some very beautiful ( also very expensive ) instruments... Just that one doesn't really appeal to me..

Oh well, I guess that's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream...

You got it. I don't mean to put down the taste of those who like them. I have some weird taste on occasion (I wish I could get my hands on one of these:

I just haven't ever seen a Fodera I really like the looks of. But differing taste is an important part of the world. That's why I'm glad there are plenty of luthiers out there, all with a different vision of what a bass should be.

I've been browsing that site for the last few minutes - it's an amazing rescouce. They have tons of images of every part of the bass.

They have an entire galleries for every part of the Fodera basses. Bridges, wooden pickup covers, the rear of the instrument. Yet another for the tuning keys. As well as about 300 actual basses.

    Man...I thought I was obsessed.

  13. What an incredible waste of money. And to think that with that many basses he doesn't have a single one with more than 4 strings.

What and incredible waste of electrons. And to think that with that many words you didn't use a single word with more than four syllables.
