    Buckeye Burl Emperor 5 Deluxe

This Emperor 5 Deluxe was built for a direct customer and features an Alder body paired with a Birdseye Maple fingerboard. In our experience we have found this to be a wonderful "best-of-both-worlds" wood combination that combines warm and bright woods to give us a versatile sound that finds itself at home in a wide range of playing situations.

This bass was also built with a gorgeous Buckeye Burl top with a very unique "bursting" grain figure.

    - Exhibition Grade Buckeye Burl Top ($1250) / Alder / Birdseye on 3 piece Maple neck
    - Slim / Fast neck profile - the best Fodera neck I've ever played
    - Spec'd with 22 frets to facilitate thumbing/slap
    - Dual Coils w/ matching buckeye burl pickup covers ($1250)
    - Born April 2017. Newborn page here.
    - 9.9 lb
    - Looks, plays and sounds wonderful.
    - New this bass was $11,350

What is the pickup spacing? 60s or 70s? From what I can see it looks like 60s.

The extra thumbing space creates an optical illusion -- so i had the same question. Confirmed 70's spacing (which for dual coils is my personal favorite.)
