This Emperor Standard came from that great batch Fodera made initially. I can understand why some players who played customs picked these up because in many cases they outshined the much fancier ones!

Many people know I'm not a fan of pau ferro, but man this particular bass has me second guessing that distinction! Fodera definitely makes great stuff.
This is a very reliable and cutting bass for sure!

And as I indicated this bass as being one of the good ones....people always ask, then why would you let go of this bass? Simple reason....in order to get something good....you need to offer something good! :)

Weight is 9.25 lbs on my Rapala Fish Scale
    19mm String Spacing
    1 and 7/8" Nut Width
    Pau Ferro Fretboard
    Beautiful Flame Maple Top
    Ash body
    Gold hardware
Mike Pope Standard 4 Band EQ - Boost and Cut!
    Ships with Fodera Standard Case

Selling price is $5000 U.S. shipped to the USA (Lower 48 States) or within Canada.
International shipping available at a premium.

Trade Brands of high interest: Alleva Coppolo, Wal, Carl Thompson. I may consider other brands, but I will be VERY picky.
I'm only interested in 4 or 5 string basses. 34" Scale prefered, but will consider other scales.
No 6 strings please or basses strung with High C's.
    Will consider fretless too.
I will consider a bass plus cash or possibly trade for a preamp, amplifier, or bass cabinet. Preference for all tube and sealed cabs. Let me know what you have.

It would take me a while to type out all of the As necessary to describe the flame on that top. Amazing.

Question about the tuners. In one photo they look chrome. The other gold. Are they gold or chrome? I know Fodera usually keeps the hardware finish the same for the bridge and tuners....at least on the Fodera basses I have.
