    hi michael,
i noticed that you use the model 2000 preamp,
i was wondering if you could give me a mini review?
mostly i'm wondering how the EQs sound,
if it's "studio" quiet, and if it's similar to an onboard pope preamp?
also, would it be overkill to use with an 18v active bass? i'm trying to find sweeter (smoother?) mid's than what's available on my bass.

The Fodera preamp is a nice unti. I cannot speak for it in the studio as I use tube preamps in the studio. It is the exact same circuit as the Pope preamp. It really fattens the sound without loss of the midrange or highs. The mid boost/cut switch is great. I use it to go into solo mode. I think the newer models have and LED that lets you know when the mid boost is operational.

I have been using it with my passive MTD Heir on some gigs lately and cannot tell you how impressed I am with the combination.
