One of my all time favorite basses. I have primarily moved to playing 6 strings these days, so this sits unplaced in my smoke free home. Just got it several months back from dealer brand new, still has that new Fodera shop smell when you take from case. Would love to work a trade on the right monarch or emperor deluxe 6 or 5 Fodera. 34" scale preferred. May be open to other basses plus cash. Also a jule Monique dovecage or bamboo.

From fodera new born with pics in link. In person looks more stunning than the pics can represent. Comes with upgrade fodera red velvet interior case and all candy. Just like getting a new fodera. Only 9.2 lbs and balances perfectly!

    Unique Features

This Monarch 4 Deluxe was build for one of our U.S. dealers and features a Walnut body and Ebony fingerboard for a warm, yet articulate tone with deep, punchy lows, precise mids, and clear, bell-like highs. This bass sounds just as great playing deep pocket grooves as it does playing crisp solo lines in the upper register.
This instrument also features an incredibly dynamic Laurel Burl top with matching pickup covers! Check out the close-up photos for a better look at the beautiful figuring.

  4. That is a really beautiful bass, and I'd love to own one, but for the bass it would be like Ferrari being owned by a guy who could never drive outside of NYC traffic.

I'll be that beauty gets snapped right up.

FWIW, I've played this bass myself and I can say that from not only a looks perspective, but also from a playability and sound perspective, the instrument is absolutely excellent.

Also, I know the seller and can say that he is an excellent steward of his gear.

The new owner of this bass will not be disappointed.

Sure. I'm open to new bass ideas, 4s too. An old P and cash would be interesting as example. This is a great Fodera! Lots of great offers, holding out for the right fit.

Yes, definitely a lifer class bass. Best of the 5 foderas I've had. I've had Numerous offers. Only reason is seeking a similar bass in 5 or 6.
