Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

Fodera Tuner's keys

Discussion in 'Luthier's Corner' started by chalie, Apr 5, 2005.

  1. I need a replacement for the keys of my 1985 Fodera Emperor Elite 5.
I wonder what was the OEM of these keys and what will be the matching (same design) model to these one.
    Gotho? Hipshot or Shaler.
Mine have no Fodera logos, was it like this those days.

    Thanks

  2. I think if I was you I'd drop a note to Joey at Fodera for the definitive answer.

My 84 monarch has the gold schaller's with NO logo.....as did my 87 monarch. Your keys are most likely original...

  4. Hi Nick,
I wrote Fodera for years and never received any reply from them including this time.
Lucky that they made a good bass so no warranty matter was involved.
    Thanks,

They look like gotoh's or shaller's. Just unscrew one, measure the shaft's dimension and order the ones you'd prefer to have with the right shaft sizes.

The ones in that picture are Gotoh's. Schallers have different (thicker) knobs on them, and Hipshots are a different beast altogether...

  7. Thanks, I aslo think it was Gothos
I will see if my local agent for Gotho has this model already. The have the newer one with the tip down knobs, like the bird wing kind.
