    Howzit goin'?
Does anybody have experience with the Fodera Vic Wooten bass? With the Mike Pope preamp, and the EMG P/J pups? Tone? Playability?
Saved my pennies for awhile, and ordered one from BassCentral.
I have a Lakland 5, and miss that fretted 4 action...
    Thanks...this place looks cool.

I had one for a week but with a chestnut instead of maple top. Very, very nice bass; fine preamp with nice frequency selection and very quiet, superb tone.

The only negative thing I can say is that it was relatively heavy. Not awful but noticeable.

I opted for a Sadowsky instead. I preferred the Sadowsky tone to the Fodera Whooten's tone. Not better or worse just better ear candy for me.

I like the Sadowsky's alot, too. The J-style in Cherryburst Quilt was my 2nd choice. I think both Vinnie and Roger are two of the best in the biz.
