    (2) 2x10 Wayne Jones cab's

    Question? Need the best amp for this rig?

    thinking either

    Ag. DB728 or QSC 3402.

    Question? Need suggestions on the best way of setting this rig up also.. any comments greatly appreciated...

    I'm not quite sure how you would be able to set up 3 cabs like that. You would come up with a weird impedence.
  3. Well the impedence would be 2.67ohms. As for the poweramp options, as much as i love the DB728, no way you'll be able to power 3 wayne jones cabs with it and do it well. The QSC is the way to go between the options.

    he meant 2, typos are a bizatch.

    i think that the best poweramp for any aggie stuff is always gonna be the 728. thru two 2x10's it should be QUITE loud.

    but do you want to pay for and cart around that huge block o' tubes?

    Wayne himself told me that to drive his 1 x cab needs between 700- 1000 watts at 8 Ohm for 2 cabs just multiply. DB 750 is just for 1 cab of 2 x 10.

    When bassplayer reviewed the wayne jones cabinets they said the tube amps they were using just didn't cut it, so they had to switch to higher powered SS amps to realize the full potential of the cabs.
