I'm not a fan of the Foo fighters. I don't know much about them.

However, what I DO know is that these guys LOVE Rush. They cover Rush songs during concerts all the time, they mention them in interviews all the time, and they even inducted Rush in the HOF.

So my question is: what FF songs or albums have a clear Rush influence in them? From the little I've heard, they sound like a pop rock band not even close to prog rock.

...maybe it's David Grohl's (& Taylor Hawkins) love of Rush & not the FF?
In the HOF intro, Grohl mentions his older, hipper stoner-cousin that turned him onto 2112…this wasn't "Love Gun", this was heavy ****

I believe they had said in interviews before that their song Rope was influenced by Rush. I def dig the song and I can kind of hear a little Rushiness in it.

it's called "The Colour and the Shape" yes, spelled exactly like that
