footswitch help.

  1. on my randall bass 500 head when i use the footswitch there is a tremendous gain in volume. i can turn the gain to 1 and the volume to 1 when i use and it and it will make pictures rattle.... is there anything i can do to fix this or make it not so loud?

    It would help the uninitiated if you could say exactly what the footswitch is supposed to be doing - channel switch? Effects in/out? Other?

    Knowing that, I might be able to offer a wildy inaccurate guess . . . . ;)
  6. sar. i forgot to type it. it turns on and off the graphic EQ.
  7. if so, turn it down.
  8. the EQ does not have a seperate gain.

    Are you boosting a lot of frequencies on your EQ? If I do that on my Peavey TKO, there is quite a large jump in volume
  10. no i can have it all set to -10db on the graphic eq and still have a very large gain in volume. come on guys someone here has to know....
