Does anyone know what effect geezer used in the song nib(nativity in black)? If you know the exact kind that would help.
  2. you mean during the solo? (there is a solo at the beginning of that song, right?) I believe it is....WAH!!!

The Ozzy version with Les is much cooler IMO.

Are you sure it was geezer on nib??
I thought it was Carol Kaye.....:D

Vox wah I think, cos' when I saw them live in 1970 something it was a chrome plated job.
As far as I know only Vox used chrome plated housings.

It's actually a Tychobrae wah pedal.

Bingo, its a Tychobrae, he kept it from his time as a rythem guitarist.
  13. How's that for a quick response? 6 frickin' years to arrive at the answer!

I love how Chriss dug up this ancient thread just to +1 it!

  17. Yeah, but at least the correct answer came of it....A little late, but better late than never.

I'm guessing the amp was pushed harder by the wah, or he simply had the gain on the amp up.

I'm doubting he used an overdrive pedal of any kind, especially given when it was recorded (early 1970s)... too early for most pedals in general.
