In November I listed a bass and it had been a while since my last time selling. I noticed though that you can only bump your post now once every literal 24 hours even if someone else comments on it. Why was this done? I really thing this effected the sale of my bass as far as exposure goes. With my work schedule, sometimes I may have had to bump it an hour earlier than the previous day or if someone had commented during that time, that would have helped bump the post for me. I can only imagine other member who have paid money to advertise on hear at a raised rate for 2014 too can't be happy with this new change.

The rule had always been one bump per 24 hours, but it was being regularly abused by people who were banking on the mods not being able to monitor the forum closely enough to catch people breaking the rules. In addition, people were encouraging "conversational" type of responses to keep their threads closer to the top, which was much harder to prove. After extended discussion among the mods and admins, it was decided that having the software limit thread bumps to once per 24 hours would be the best and fairest solution for everyone.

Thank you for the answer but that kind of sucks. It's too bad the software couldn't be from 12:00am to 12:00am because if I'm going to work or something and it is 5 minutes before 24 hours since I bumped my last post, I don't think that is taking advantage of the rules. But I understand it is a call you guys made. However, I also don't think I will be renewing my paid membership when it expires as a result because I feel the new rule hurt my sales and exposure on my item.

I do have a mobile device and I have TB on it but I work for the State as a Corrections Officer so I cannot take my phone to work. It has to stay in my truck.
