    -ash body
    -maple neck and board
    -34 scale
    -birdseye maple top
    -Noguera pickups (single coil) and preamp ( vol/vol/tone/bass/treble with active/passive pull )
    -70s pup placement
    -Badass bridge
    -durable poly finish

    These basses are great and have been well known in Europe for a long time now. The bass does a great Marcus ...and also a great finger tone with lots of fundamental. Plenty of growl and snap if you need it and smooth tones too. Plays beautifully. Its a bit on the heavier side as the body is made from regular French ash and not swamp ash...but that also gives it its tone. The bass is also on the Noguera site in the YC Deluxe picture section page 7. Lists for 2,750 EUROS, my price is only $2300 ( or equivalent Euro value)plus shipping which makes it a great deal.

    I hate to see it go but I have to reduce my stable.

    Got to give Mitch props for this most killin' of basses. This is like the ultimate super boutique j-bass. This bass nails the Marcus tone, I mean it just nails it! It also has this sweet, fat, buttery tone to it as well that just rocks in a mix. Mitch and I did some recording with this sweetheart and it was flawless. It tracked brilliantly!!!

    One of the finest boutique j-basses that I have ever played and trust me, Mitch has the finest boutique j-bass collection I have ever seen or had the pleasure to play. The only thing better than it's tone is it's playability. It's just stupid, flat out ridiculous. Not to mention, the feel of it's 34" scale is just fantastic. Like all of Mitch's basses, this bass was spec'd out to be at the top of it's game.

    This is a really great price for such a world class instrument. Plus you couldn't buy a bass off of a better guy if you tried.:bassist:

    Sorry for the delay-

    I dont know exactly how much it weighs, but if you are interested in the bass I can find out no problem. My guess is that it is over 10 pounds, by how much I cant guess. The fundamental is strong, and the bass plays like butter. I have the Badass on it now, but anyone can try a lighter bridge too...I tried the Hipshot Vintage style and it sounded great .

    The bass does stand up with my other boutique 5s....its a great bass...but I do need to reduce my stable so something had to go. Noguera should be better known in North America ... in France and Europe his basses are well respected.

    I had a 6er that has been my main bass for 3 years (google "iltika can yama can")... I just had that apart from a nice Marcus slap tone, i could get a stunning Patittucci tone with mine (but as i'm a bridge pickup only kind of guy, and can guarantee you that this is definitely a player...)
    Good luck with the sale, this french luthier is really someone, have a try, u won't be disapointed...

    IMHO, this is one of the few j-bass inspired 5'ers that has all the right stuff!

    This Noguera bass has all the sizzle, punch and guts of a great 70s j-bass without the clunkage associated with many j-bass style instruments. Without a doubt, this bass has the most comfy neck profile I have ever played. It's 34" scale will make any player feel right at home. The poly finish is stunning and the overall balance is flawless.

    It'll get street if you want it to as well as lay down the smoothest 70s j-bass fatback that you could imagine. There is an underlying warmth and organic presence to the tone of this bass that is absolutely addicting.

    In addition to being a monster bassist, Mitch is the ash/maple guru and this bass which he spec'd out from top to bottom is IMHO the quintessential modern j-bass, however in passive mode in conjunction with it's passive tone control, this bass can go old school instantly.

    If I had the cash it would have been mine months ago. Take advantage of this opportunity. There are not a lot of j-bass inspired basses this special out there, especially at this price.

    If your looking for a new vibe in j-basses or you are getting tired of the same old, same old, then you have to get this bass before I somehow come up with the money myself.:cool:
