I hate to part with this baby but I found the MTD I wanted and I have to stick with my one bass in, one bass out policy.

This is a very special bass. There are only three of these I know of. The Prototype (silver with a PG), Number 1, (this one) and number 2, (trans red with a PG). This bass was a big hit at the 2012 winter NAMM show. Some of you have played it. This Bass would cost you $4550 to order it today. It is in mint condition. The prototype was offered for sale after NAMM 2012 for $3000.

$[DEL]3150[/DEL] $3050 Paypal'd and shipped CONUS or trade.

    Trade interests:

    Nordy 4 P or PJ
    Lakland USA
    Sadowsky NYC

I know Rodney had it originally... Are you the second owner?

    What is the scale length?

jebmd did buy it from me a while back. Totally awesome bass! 34" scale. 1.75" nut, 19mm spacing and 9-14" radius on the neck. It is basically a vJ5 Classic neck with one more fret

  5. I played this at NAMM. AMAZING instrument. All the good of a classic Ray (the snap, etc.), and none of the bad (this one if phat on the G and D strings, and full 19mm spacing!). Relatively lightweight, plays like a dream, sounds like a 'better' Ray to me.

Thank you for all of the comments everyone. It is indeed a fantastic bass. My Nordy JJ and PJ see most of the action lately.

Yes I am the second owner and yes it is 34" scale.

Such a cool bass. Would it be a crime to buy this and put a black MM style pick guard on it? ;-)
