  1. GAS is a funny thing!

Ken Smith BMT Elite, 7 pc body with mahogany core, 7 PC neck with Ebony board. Comes in the original Smith case and a custom ramp.

There's some wear by the neck pickup and on the back. The bass sounds amazing, super low action and no fretbuzz, classic Smith sounds that cuts like a knife!

Asking $4200 shipped, the price is FIRM, I'm not really in a hurry to sell it. I would consider a trade for a Sadowsky with a nice top plus cash. 5 stringers only!

Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking!

How deep into the wood is your thumb rest hole, and how many layers of finish are gone on the back? What year please?
  3. 96, not deep but you can feel the wood on both sides. It's a player, but sounds wonderful. I considered sending it to get a refinish, but I play the caca out of my basses, I don't hang them in the wall :D The wear spot on the front is barely visible.
I think the price is more than fair!
  4. OMG! WOW!

My old bass, killer Smith, feels and sounds so much better than the newer ones IMO.
