For The Tone

    Hey all,
    I would like to know what you guys recommend for improving my tone in the way of effects,DI,amp modeling...Im not interested in distortion of crazy effects, i just want to get really great tight tone. I wouldn't mind however if there were a compression effect, and on second thought i wouldn't mind having a little drive for some rare applications. Ive never owned any of the kind. Any reccomendations?

    Start saving for a new amp.
    No effect in the world will make a 35W POS amp sound good.

    I play through a crappy 35W, yes, but i also play through a Fender Bassman120 adn a couple of sound systems, so some kind of amp modeling unit is what im looking at right now. Besides, amps are really expensive.

    No pedal or amp modeler in the world will make up for bad tone. Don't waste your money. It mostly comes from your fingers. Secondly you need a good amp. Which bass you use is important too, but not as much as these two.
