See....you cannot understand it. For all the times I've sat in my living room attempting to complete silent thoughts awaiting to reach fruition in my art, while others assume my presence means I'm available, this chamber is the answer....

Anyhow, I couldn't fit my basses, recording gear, record player, etc into it, so it is worthless.

Big family, busy household, small abode? Godsend.
No way- sound needs space to develop the overall effect (natural decay, real-sounding reverberation, etc). This assumes the room's acoustics are already better than average.
The kind of people that won't leave me alone would just bang on the outside of it or unplug it or something.
Y'know, I thought that would be a possibility, but if it was relatively sound proofed or lockable from the inside, that could fix it. Maybe in Japan people are really quiet or something....in the US I think it would only work outdoors...
