The Fender MIM P, MIM Jazz and OLP Stingray are good options, but as Mike said, the MTD Kingston is the best. No contest.

What feels and sounds right to you may be the best for you, though.:)

  6. Ibanez SRX300 $320 or Washburn XB120 $220 both very tight and punchy

A Sadowsky 24 fret 5 string is a GREAT bass so if you can find one for $400, you got a great bass.

You could try yo be a little "less" specific.

  9. Kingston... or MIM Jazz!

  10. the dean rhapsody low to mid priced basses can be had for that kinda cash...I been eyeballin the 8 & 12 string models which cost a little more but still a good deal. I really want one...they kinda remind me of a carl thompson...sort of ric..body style.
