John Turner is going to sue you for trauma and severe depression when he sees this!

As for amplification would you reco. the Campbells Chicken & Rice can or the the boomy lows that Armour chili cans are famous for, if kite string is all you have for cable?

I'd get one but the spacing is too tight
    (sorry, that's my standard excuse)

Two strings is better... less shifting. :)

I'm trying to think of a use for that aside from being a novelty item, but I can't...
It looks very nice. Throw on three more strings (or a half dozen for JT) and I'd be all over that bass.

  7. Do you know if they happen to make a two string? I'm serious.

  8. ..but....but... Jaco played a 4-string! :D

A couple years ago, there was an article in Bass Player magazine about a Japanese custom builder that made quite a few one-string basses, but I can't remember the name for the life of me...Atlantasia or something close to that. All my BP's are in a box 700 miles away, so I can't go research it right now :(. Weird lookin' critters, no body at all, looked like a broomstick with a string on it....

  13. yea i can't wait to see the threads if someone bought this,
"can you slap on a one string bass?"

The good news is replacement strings are real cheap! :D

Is that a weather vane on top of that thing?

Actually, those Atlantasia's are pretty cool. There was one that could be bridged together to make a two string. Ultra Hip!

    Finally... a bass I wouldn't trust in a gigbag.

You're right, Gard* Atlantasia made some pretty wild 1+ strings. I remember the coin sized pickups.

    Playin' the funky koto ;)
