Forgive the typos, my fingers are numb

Hi all,

I am new to the string world, coming from a vocal/woodwind/brass back ground. I decided to take up bass as I love bass lines, always have, always will.

I come armed with many books on the techniques of playing, but also crave the soul of playing too. And sometimes I just don't know what I'm reading means.
