Often when switching pages I get logged out for some reason. Not a big deal, except in the middle of typing a reply to a post while logged in, a popup window says I must be logged in to do this, and when I log in, everything I typed is lost. Very aggravating.

Also, often when I create a new reply and post it, it actually shows up on a previous page of the thread, but when I refresh the page, or go to the last page, it shows up where it should be.

  2. I was just going to start a post with the same problem.

I get logged out fairly frequently.

Do you all have cookies enabled? The cookie is what’s going to keep you logged in.

I do not click the box that says "Stay logged in" in ANY of the 14 forums I am a part of. None of the others log me out. Talk bass never used to do this. Why the change?
Also, if I am using my phone to look at Talkbass, and I don't log in, the forum is so over run with ads that it makes looking at this site an excersize in futility. I don't return to Talkbass for a few days. It never used to be that way. Why the change?

I'll try switching our session storage mechanism from the front-end cache, into the database. Maybe the front-end cache isn't keeping session data as it should.

Session data (if you don't select "stay logged in") should be kept for 1 hour.

Just two cents from a fellow Texan. I'm not experiencing any of the aforementioned difficulties on either of my phones, either of my iPads or either of my Macs. In fact his forum is one of the easiest to use. Just a small word of encouragement and compliment. I'm sure you'll get it all sorted out.

The second issue op mentioned has been true for a long time. I don’t find it a problem though. Call it a quirk.

    Paul,
It seems that the changes you made have worked wonders. Thank you for changing those settings!
