A unshowered teenager with long hair lol
Had new flats on my Fury and i just hate them when new.
My gui**** son comes into the room and hangs out with me.
Tells me he hasnt showered since he got here (3days)
He asks to play the bass and i say sure.
1 hour later and him running his fret hand constantly through his greasy hair and bam!
    Problem taken care of haha.
No wonder he changes his guitar strings every week.

    But it works!
  4. That is truly nasty.
But, if you're okay with putting your fingers on those strings, more power to you! :D

Eat some pizza before you play those strings. Voila. Not nearly as grimy as teenager fung, plus: pizza!

I'd rather have live strings than pick up some sort of MRSA from some stinky teenager who smells like pit sweat and buttcheese.

A sure fire way that I've had success with is (drum roll)........ WD40 wiped up and down the strings. Although the strings will then need a a wipe down with glass cleaner or something similar. Or even DeOxit on a towel.

Think what else his hand has been fretting over those 3 days, being a teenager and all. Blargh.

I'm wondering if having zingy flats or a child that doesn't practice good hygiene is the issue to address.

And as a teenager, you have never, ever missed a shower?
