:D I'm new to playing bass (ex-drummer). But I think I just found a sweet sound. I have a USA Fender Jazz a couple yrs old. I just switched out the pickups to a set of Custom shop 60's, and the strings to La Bella flats and WOWWWW!
The "stock" Fender pups really lack so I decided to replace them. These CS 60's really are fantastic. More output, more tonal options, and some serious bottom and growl. And the Labella flats feel great. I'm practicing through a SWR 4004 head and a Peavey TVX 2x10 cab. These new p'ups and strings really allow the 2x10 to get some serious thump!
