I'm looking for a decent, free (and legal) .pdf editor. I tried googling it and almost all results were sites with many "keywords" and links to different products. I'm mainly looking for a text editor for job applications and such. My handwriting sucks and it would certainly look more professional to add text to the .pdf instead of using ink. What would you recommend?

Thanks, guys, I'll look into those.

I am more or less looking to add text to responses instead of writing them on hardcopy applications. My handwriting sucks, and I'm a lefty and ink almost always smears. Avoiding these would eliminate potential disadvantages and maybe even add some positives on the first impression thing...

    Um.. learn TeX.

    It's a free PDF/Postscript typesetting language - but, no WYSIWYG interface :(

Hardly an ideal or quick solution though.
