For Sale French Bow 1880s Mirecourt France

    This is a fantastic French bow , made around the 1880s in Mirecourt France by an unknown maker. It was originally sold as a Voirin, but was actually made by one of his contemporaries. It pulls a warm, yet direct tone and handles great for solo bach, while still being able to pound out orchestral excerpts. This bow was in the Cleveland Orchestra for a long time, before moving over to the National Symphony , and then to me. I have used it through undergrad, graduate school and professionally and it has proved to be an excellent bow.
