    Anyone ever do this?
How much does it actually change the over all feel of the neck?
I figure the 1/16" that the frets may add to the thickness of the neck will make it feel chunkier, but I hope not to an uncomfortable degree.
    It's a 5 BTW.

    Maybe it's already lined?

It's already lined and the only bad part is, they (Tyler) are not making basses right now, so a new neck from them is not possible.

    Umm....WOW!
I'm not that brave, but damn dude!
How did it affect the feel of the neck?
Did the overall feel get "thicker"?

A competent luthier can do this without a CNC machine. CNC machines have only existed recently, fretted stringed instruments have existed for centuries.

    Moved to Setup.
