I need your help to setup my new bass
i have a fret buzz form 8th fret to the end of the neck (fret 22) and the action is a little bit high , i don't know if i need to tight the truss rod or lose him please help

    Thanks !!!
  2. This is how I would do it for ultra-low actions.

    1. Tune the bass to proper pitch

    2. While fretting the 12th fret, raise the saddles until it barely stops buzzing.
This will put your bridge saddles in the correct vicinity.

    3. Then tighten the truss rod ( a quarter turn at time) until it barely causes fret buzz from the 1st to 12th.
This will lower the overall string height relative to the fingerboard.

    4. Now you can fine tune the rest at the saddles.

This my method, everybody has a different method (or two or three).

Very unhappy instrument--suggest you return it where you bought it (unless it was online, in which case you're SOL), and have it set up, if there's someone able to do so.

What brand & model is this?
