Hey I just got a Rogue vb100 Beatle Bass. It seems to have some fret buzzing on the e and a strings. This is my first bass and I am not really sure how to fix the problem. Also the bridge confuses me. Anyone with a Beatle Bass that can help me with the problem? Thanks.
There is a Guitar Center kind of close to me. I have never been there though. I am kind of short of cash how much does it usually cost? I got the bass as an early X-mas present and currently have no dough. I also want to get some nice flats for the bass. I am not digging the stock strings. Overall I am happy with the bass though, It looks really nice.. plus I figured it would need a setup and new strings anyways. One more question for anyone who has a Rouge vb100. How do I get the styrophone crap off the bridge? It is kind of under it and it wont come off. It is bugging the hell out of me.
Mr. Mustard... If I were you I wouldn't take my bass to a guitar center for a setup, then again I wouldn't take it anywhere for a setup. But if you really don't feel comfortable attempting the setup yourself expect to pay somewhere in the area of $50-$60. When you change your strings do it one at a time. I change it in the order of E, G, A, D. There's about a million posts on this topic so if you're feeling studious, read, read, read, then personally setup!! As far as the bridge goes, it sounds like the styrofoam is tucked underneath which would require you to remove the bridge (take all strings off, unscrew screws holding bridge in - careful, there may be some electronics underneath, screw bridge back on and put strings back on and then make setup adjustments)
i have a rouge, however my frets dont buzz so i dont have personal experience with that problem. i believe to raise the strings all you have to do is turn those 2 little wheels on the bridge and it will go up. the bridge (i think) isnt screwed on, at least, mine can move around. if it really isnt screwed in then just loosen the strings and lift up the bridge to get off the "styrofoam crap"
