Fretless comparable to Washburn ab40

Hi, I have never played fretless before but after hearing recordings I absolute love the sound of the Washburn ab40 fretless. around christmas time, I may look for a fretless. The 300 dollar squire vm jazz seems like a great deal, but I am really a fan of the piano like tone of an acoustic hollow body with a piezo bridge pickup and the nylon core brass wound strings. The ab40 fretless seems nearly impossible to find though. Is there a comprable bass to this with almost identical tone around the $300 -$500 range (used or new not picky
